First Day Video

video

It's over! He did it! I did it! We all survived!

I hope you enjoy the video of RDC's first day of preschool! I know I'm crazy, but at least you will all be entertained! Remember, I had to carry on the legacy set before me by my mom!

I managed to hold it together for the rest of the morning. Although I was't visibly shaking while I prepared lunch, I sure felt the anxiety throughout all my being!

We took some traditional front door pictures, walked over to the bus stop, and waited. We had a false alarm when another "big" bus went by. But ours was soon to follow. My excitement as the bus rolled up turned into overwhelming sadness as he walked up the steps. I held it together while they buckled him into his front row seat. They pulled away, I turned around and the tears fell.
I still had mission. Get CCC into the car and get to the PK before the bus! Driving down the streets, I'd see a bus and wonder, is that it? Nope.
I arrived long before the bus did. I watied and his bus finally arrived. He got off with his teacher, Mrs. K and walked with her into the building.
CCC and I came home, I went for a run to rid all my nervous energy. When we got back from our run, CCC looked at me and grinned, as if to say, "Wow, now I have my mommy's attention all to myself!"

RDC is home from school. He made a fun book of different colors. He played on the playground. He ate all of his snack. He wore his glasses the whole time! He fell asleep on the way home on the bus!

A succcesful first day!

You did so well! What a great video. I saw RDC on the bus when they came to get SP on Thursday! I didn't know they were on the same bus? SP exclaimed when he saw him, and I waved to him myself quite vigorously through the window. I could almost see the wheels churning putting all the connections together!
